Head of Fabric Sales (UK & Europe)

Head of Fabric Sales (UK & Europe)

The Head of Fabric Sales (UK & Europe) has a senior, customer-facing role at a vertically integrated textile group that supplies performance and lifestyle fabrics to leading global brands.
The focus is firmly on activewear, athleisure, and sportswear, not high-end fashion.

The business already works with established international brands and is now looking to expand its footprint across the UK and Europe.  In a market where brands are reducing their supplier base, success depends on one thing:

Access.

What This Role Really Requires
This is not a role for someone who sells through procurement teams or waits for opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Already has trusted relationships within fabric/product/materials teams at the brand HQ level
  • Can pick up the phone and get a meeting
  • Can walk into a brand and present fabrics without long lead times
  • Has genuine credibility with decision-makers, not just buyers

In short, someone with “friends” inside the right teams.

Role Overview
Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will lead business development and account growth across the UK and Europe, with a clear focus on winning new business and securing fabric nomination.
You will operate remotely, based in the region, staying close to customers and building relationships through frequent, direct engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development with UK & European sportswear and lifestyle brands.
  • Leverage existing relationships to secure introductions, trials, and nomination.
  • Build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline
  • Develop and grow strategic key accounts
  • Present fabric developments directly to product and materials teams
  • Work closely with internal R&D, sourcing, and manufacturing teams
  • Stay ahead of trends in performance, sustainability, and innovation

Ideal Profile

  • Existing relationships within UK/EU sportswear, activewear, or lifestyle brands
  • Direct access to fabric, product, or materials teams at the HQ level
  • Strong sales hunter mindset with a track record of opening new accounts
  • Comfortable operating independently in a remote, customer-facing role
  • Strong understanding of knit and/or woven fabrics for active and lifestyle apparel
  • Proven success in new business development and account growth
  • Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills

Why This Role

  • Work directly with leading UK & European brands
  • Be part of a business with strong innovation and manufacturing capability
  • Operate in a high-impact, market-facing role
  • Shape the company’s growth across Europe

In summary, this role is for someone who already knows the right people, understands how brands select fabric partners, and can turn relationships into revenue in a highly competitive, supplier-rationalised market.

Interested candidates should apply or contact Bridgeworks Consulting for a confidential discussion.
