This division of the company manufactures highly technical engineered knitted garments and components for the performance apparel sector as well as providing shoe uppers for the footwear division.
- Monitor efficiency and quality output
- Oversee inventory, distribution of goods and after shipment reconciliation
- Work on continuous improvement processes and quality mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
- Create and Implement Machine Maintenance SOP to make sure factory equipment is running at optimal efficiency
- Meet customer expectations of on-time shipment and quality
- Research new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency
- Manage contracts and relations with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders for machinery and materials
- Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organisation optimise costs and benefits
- Ensure compliance with local and international laws
To be successful, you will need proven experience as a Factory Manager or Head of Operations in a sweater manufacturing environment as well as familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, supply chain and IT. You will also need:
- Production and planning skills
- Understanding of stock management systems
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting
