A Technical Manager with pattern making skills is needed to lead the design and development process for a multinational activewear company.

This activewear supplier manages the entire manufacturing process from fabric development to store merchandising. They have global apparel manufacturing facilities with the capability to manufacture a wide variety of product categories from active and athleisure wear to casual wear.
You will own the development lifecycle and provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from design phase through to manufacture
- Manage fit sessions with Design and Product Development, assessing garments for fit, spec, and styling
- Communicate styling and fit issues with buyer
- Check samples and identify and resolve any issues with the Sample Maker
- Create and design production patterns and specs and finalize grading
- Evaluate, create and implement standard grading rules to ensure consistency in fit
- Develop training plans and manuals for the global Pattern and Product Development teams
- Mentor Pattern Makers and Product Developer in pattern making and fit
- Works on new solutions to reach creative pattern goals, by using new methods and systems and/or new construction
Skills, Knowledge & Experience required
- Successful experience in leading apparel fitting with ability to handle volume in fitting process in activewear, sportswear, athleisure wear and outerwear
- Strong knowledge of various 2-D and/or 3-D CAD software packages
- Extensive experience in performance apparel
- Understand the relationship between pattern/material usage/yields during pattern creation as it relates to margins
