An international apparel manufacturer is investing in a new Bonding & Seamless Development & Innovation Centre in Bangladesh and is seeking an experienced Bonding Equipment & Automation Engineer to lead the machinery, automation and technical infrastructure that will power the next generation of bonded garment manufacturing.
This is a hands-on engineering leadership role with genuine influence. From equipment selection and commissioning to automation strategy and continuous improvement, you’ll help build a centre of excellence from the ground up.
About the Business
Our client is a global manufacturing partner to many of the world’s leading apparel brands, recognised for its investment in innovation, advanced manufacturing, and technical capability. The Innovation Centre will drive the development of bonded and seamless garment technologies for deployment across its international manufacturing network.
What the Bonding Equipment & Automation Engineer will Do
- Lead equipment specification, installation and commissioning.
- Own machine reliability, maintenance and uptime.
- Deliver automation projects that improve productivity and consistency.
- Evaluate new technologies and support CAPEX decisions.
- Partner with equipment suppliers and service providers.
- Optimise machine performance alongside bonding specialists.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Build engineering capability and lead equipment technicians.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience within apparel, textiles, bonding, lamination or adjacent manufacturing industries.
- Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation or Electrical Engineering background.
- Proven experience with industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors and automation systems.
- Experience leading equipment improvement projects.
- Ability to work confidently with production, engineering and technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
