Fabric Sales Manager

An established textile manufacturer in Vietnam is seeking a commercially focused Fabric Sales Manager to drive growth in synthetic woven and knitted textiles, particularly for active sport and outerwear garments.  The role will focus on developing new business with global apparel brands and buying offices, and converting development opportunities into bulk fabric programs.
This is a growth role with a clear commercial objective: build new customer relationships, increase fabric sales revenue, and strengthen the mill’s position with international brands sourcing synthetic fabrics in Vietnam.
This role will be based in Ho Chi Minh, with regular travel to customer sites across the country and to the main manufacturing site in Nam Dinh.

A global textile and apparel manufacturing group with vertically integrated operations across Asia.  The Vietnam operations include textile and garment manufacturing facilities supplying technical fabrics and apparel to leading global brands.  The business is particularly strong in synthetic performance fabrics for active sports and outerwear, sustainable textile production, and competitive lead times, with strong development capability.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop new business with global active sportswear apparel brands and buying offices in Vietnam
  • Build relationships with fabric teams, sourcing offices, and product development teams
  • Promote synthetic woven and knitted fabrics for active sport and outerwear applications
  • Identify and convert new customer opportunities into development and bulk programs
  • Work closely with internal development, production, and technical teams to support customer requirements
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer sourcing strategies
  • Support fabric development projects and commercialisation
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms
  • Maintain sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity reports

Critical Requirements

  • 3–10 years’ experience in textile or fabric sales
  • Strong knowledge of synthetic woven and/or knitted fabrics
  • Experience working with global apparel brands, sourcing offices, or buying offices
  • Existing network within the Vietnam active sportswear brand buying offices is highly preferred
  • Experience working for a fabric mill, textile manufacturer, trading company, or brand sourcing office
  • Good understanding of fabric development, costing, and production processes
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to develop new business and open new customer accounts
  • Good English communication skills
  • Vietnamese nationality is strongly preferred

This role will suit a commercially driven fabric sales professional with strong industry relationships in Vietnam and experience selling synthetic fabrics to active sport and technical outerwear brands.  Candidates with existing brand or buying office relationships in Vietnam will be of particular interest.
