Materials Operations Director, Bangladesh

As the Materials Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operations’ future and ensuring the success of their ambitious goals.

As the Materials Operations Director, you will oversee all operational activities related to the textile production facilities. Your responsibilities will include addressing operational concerns, developing and implementing procedures and policies, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. You will lead a multicultural workforce, interface with international customers, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

• Establishing best practices for fabric handling to maintain optimal product consistency and assessing processes, machinery, chemicals, and raw materials for enhancement will improve quality and efficiency.
• Oversee production to ensure full, on-time delivery with consistent quality, within budget, and on time.
• Work closely with the materials team in South Korea to oversee new fabric developments.
• Manage all HR and payroll activities by reviewing job roles and overseeing personnel supervision, training, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee maintenance activities in collaboration with Production Managers.
• Improve internal and external communication and be the primary representative for customer visits and engagement.

Requirements:

• Degree in management, business administration, finance/accounting, or a related field.
• Hands-on operations management experience within a textile plant, including polyester fabric weaving, dyeing, and finishing.
• Management experience covering production, quality, and maintenance staff.
• Comfortable working with international customers.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong decision-making abilities and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
