The Sourcing Manager for Sportswear Trims & Accessories is based at the Innovation and Development Centre in Wuxi, China, offering the opportunity to work in one of the most vibrant and fast-paced markets in the apparel industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with reliable, cost-effective suppliers of trims and accessories for sportswear and athleisure garments.
- Negotiate favourable terms and pricing while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in trims that enhance performance, durability, and design aesthetics.
- Manage the sourcing and development process, resolving supplier-related issues in alignment with production timelines.
- Establish and implement quality control standards for trims and accessories that align with technical performance requirements.
- Collaborate with design, product development, and merchandising teams to integrate trims seamlessly into sportswear designs.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining the high standards required for performance-driven garments.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet critical project deadlines.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Extensive experience in trim and accessory sourcing within the performance sportswear or apparel industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with fluency in both English and Chinese.
- Experience working with multinational sportswear brands and suppliers.
- Knowledge of technical trim requirements for sportswear and athleisure, including durability, stretch, and breathability.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Adaptability to fast-paced market changes and emerging trends in sports and athleisure.
