The Role:
The General Manager of Production, Sourcing, and Compliance will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle – from purchase order to delivery – ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and quality and compliance standards. This leader will drive process improvements across global operations, foster collaboration between teams in Asia and Australia, and ensure that customer and stakeholder expectations are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute production and sourcing strategies across multiple categories.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing, young, and dynamic team across the Australian and Shanghai offices.
- Drive operational efficiencies and strengthen supply chain partnerships in Asia.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, particularly in the Australian market.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve critical business goals.
Ideal Candidate:
- A proven leader with extensive experience in apparel production management, sourcing, and compliance.
- A strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in cost negotiation, cost engineering, and sustainable sourcing. Experience with DDS, low-cost products, and sport/athleisure is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of ethical sourcing, garment construction, and Australian market regulations.
