Purpose:
The Production Manager oversees production in Cambodia, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of all product development and production activities while maintaining high-quality standards and on-time delivery.
The Company:
The organisation is a social enterprise owned by a global entity, operating sustainable and ethical sewing centres in Australia and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with plans to expand to Vietnam and India. We aim to change the lives of at-risk women through training, support, and employment, fostering dignity and hope for the future via a cottage industry training/garment manufacturing model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of production and manufacturing in Cambodia, including sourcing, inventory management, pattern making, cutting, sewing, QC, packaging, and shipping.
- Lead a team and optimise efficient production planning, scheduling, and workflow.
- Write and maintain specification documents
- Ensure production line efficiency.
- Train and coach direct reports and contribute to fostering a positive team culture.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in Ladies Apparel.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and encourage team members.
- Experience managing multiple production lines, scheduling, planning, and optimising workflow.
- Knowledgeable in garment construction, working with both stretch and woven products.
