An India-based circular-knit fabric manufacturing operation, backed by an international textile group, is seeking an experienced textile professional to lead technical and commercial coordination across Asia. The Regional Technical & Commercial Manager is the key bridge between the India manufacturing team, Asian garment vendors, global sportswear brands, and the Taiwan headquarters.
The position is well-suited to someone with strong expertise in circular-knit fabrics who is comfortable operating in fast-paced manufacturing environments, managing cross-cultural relationships, and solving problems under pressure.
The Role
- Manage relationships with garment manufacturers and brand liaison offices across Asia
- Support fabric development, approvals, testing, and bulk production
- Troubleshoot technical fabric and production issues within the India manufacturing operation
- Coordinate closely between India operations and Taiwan leadership teams
- Represent the business in customer meetings, factory visits, and technical discussions
The Ideal Candidate
- 7–15+ years’ experience in circular knit fabrics, activewear, or performance textiles
- Strong understanding of knitting, dyeing, finishing, and fabric performance standards
- Experience working with brands such as Nike, adidas, Under Armour, PVH, Columbia, or similar
- Existing network within Asian garment manufacturing groups
- Able to lead through ambiguity and challenging situations
- Strong communication and relationship management capability across cultures
- Mandarin Chinese capability would be advantageous, but not essential
