Based at an integrated textile mill in Johor, you’ll play a vital role in securing high-quality, sustainable yarns to support large-scale manufacturing operations.

Role Overview
This position is ideal for a procurement professional who thoroughly understands cotton yarn, whether it’s conventional, organic, BCI, or recycled, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll manage strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and quality compliance while ensuring optimal inventory and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Source cotton yarn globally: BCI, organic, recycled, and blends
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery with yarn vendors
- Collaborate with QA, R&D, and production to meet yarn needs
- Monitor market trends and analyse pricing and availability
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring quality and certifications
- Resolve supply chain issues and delivery delays
- Maintain procurement records and ensure SOP compliance
Required Skills & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Supply Chain, or related field
- At least 5 years in textile/apparel procurement with a focus on yarn
- Proven experience sourcing cotton yarn (all types and blends)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Familiarity with textile certifications (e.g. GOTS, OCS, BCI)
- Proficiency in supply chain/ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and results-driven
