The Country Manager oversees the innovation hub’s activities from fabric and apparel concept through to design and development to delivery, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and compliance. By developing “big picture” strategies and setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth, the Country Manager leads the cross-functional team and encourages dedication and maximum performance.

The company manages the entire manufacturing process from fabric development to store merchandising.  Global apparel manufacturing facilities have the capability to manufacture a wide variety of product categories from active, athleisure wear to casual wear and medical scrubs.

Position Responsibilities  

  • Oversee daily operations of the China office, including Design, Development, Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, IT, Finance, etc.)
  • Set a clear direction and provide key action plans
  • Develop company values and benchmark best practice
  • Develop and optimize financial plans
  • Bring in industry best practices to enhance quality and deliver a superior product
  • Manage relationships with all partners and vendors

Experience & Qualifications

  • Substantial management experience in the Apparel or Textile Manufacturing sector
  • A results-driven leader who can show results in delivering consistent performance and growth across all areas of business
  • Experience working with major US retailers
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Understanding of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Ability to present the company and its products comfortably and energetically
  • High-level understanding of all business functions such as IT, HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills in pressure situations
  • The passion and energy to drive the business for the short, mid, and long-term objectives.
