We’re working with an innovation-led, vertically integrated fabric group supplying performance and lifestyle fabrics to global sportswear and active brands across the UK and Europe.
This is not high-end fashion. The focus is firmly on activewear, athleisure, and lifestyle sportswear.
The business already supplies well-known European brands and retailers and is now seeking a Fabric Sales Director to expand its footprint across the UK & EU. In today’s market—where brands are reducing supplier panels—this role is about opening doors, securing trials, and converting relationships into long-term partnerships.
You’re likely to be someone who:
- Has existing relationships within UK/EU sportswear or activewear brands
- Knows how brands actually buy fabrics (and how hard it is to get nominated)
- Has a sales hunter mindset, backed by credibility and technical understanding
- Can sell performance, functional, and sustainable fabrics, not just samples
- Wants the flexibility to work close to customers
What you’ll be doing:
- Winning new business with UK & European active/lifestyle brands
- Leveraging existing contacts to secure introductions, trials, and nominations
- Building and managing a robust sales pipeline
- Growing key accounts once established
- Working closely with internal R&D, sourcing, and manufacturing teams
- Representing the business at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
Background
- Typically 12–18+ years in textiles/apparel
- Strong experience in fabric sales, business development, or brand-facing roles
- Deep exposure to sportswear, activewear, lifestyle, or performance categories
- Comfortable operating autonomously with lots of travel between the UK, Europe and Asia
