A large, vertically integrated textile manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Polyester DTY Factory Manager to lead its Draw Textured Yarn operations in Chittagong. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for the full technical and operational performance of a high-speed Polyester DTY facility supplying both internal downstream units and external customers.
The role requires deep technical mastery of polyester texturising, strong plant leadership, and the commercial discipline needed to run a 24/7 operation at scale.

This is a long-established global manufacturer with significant investment in synthetic yarns, fabric manufacturing, and apparel production. The DTY plant is a critical upstream asset, with a strong focus on quality consistency, energy efficiency, and operational stability.
Core Responsibilities
Production & Process Leadership

Own end-to-end DTY plant operations, including high-speed texturising lines (e.g. TMT, Barmag).

Optimise key parameters (temperature, D/Y ratio, take-up speed) across deniers and filament counts.

Drive yield improvement, waste reduction, and stable POY-to-DTY conversion.
Quality & Technical Assurance
- Collaborate with R&D on specialty yarn development, including high-stretch and performance variants.
- Ensure yarn performance meets demanding weaving and knitting requirements, including air-jet and water-jet applications.
- Control critical quality metrics such as crimp contraction, tenacity, U%, and oil pick-up.
- Lead root-cause analysis for quality deviations impacting dyeing, weaving, or downstream performance.
Maintenance, Utilities & Energy

Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of DTY machines and utilities.

Manage power consumption and energy efficiency in a continuous 24/7 operation.

Plan spare parts strategy and maintenance budgets to minimise downtime.
Leadership, Safety & Compliance

Lead and develop engineers, supervisors, and operators within the plant.

Maintain high standards of HSE, labour compliance, and environmental responsibility.
Critical Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar.

Extensive experience in polyester filament manufacturing with at least 7 years in a senior management role within a DTY plant environment.

Strong technical understanding of POY characteristics and DTY processing behaviour.

Hands-on experience with modern texturising machinery (e.g. TMT, Barmag).

Proven ability to manage large teams and complex 24/7 operations.

Fluent English required; Bengali language skills or prior experience in Bangladesh are a strong advantage.
