An established global textile and technical garment manufacturer is seeking an experienced Weaving Manager to lead end-to-end production at their large-scale synthetic fabric mill in Bangladesh. This is a hands-on leadership role for a technically grounded manager who understands the realities of high-speed synthetic filament weaving and can translate process discipline into consistent commercial results.
Core Responsibilities of the Weaving Manager
You will be fully accountable for output, efficiency, quality, and technical discipline across polyester and nylon weaving, operating both air-jet and water-jet looms to global brand standards.
Synthetic Fabric Production

Lead production of performance polyester and nylon fabrics (e.g. taffeta, ripstop, Oxford).

Optimise loom settings to control static, filament elongation, shrinkage, and surface defects.

Oversee warping and sizing to ensure yarn stability at high speeds.
Loom Management

Drive efficiency and energy discipline across air-jet looms for lightweight and high-density fabrics.

Manage water-jet loom for weaving water-repellent and heavy-duty synthetic fabrics.
Quality, Compliance & Yield

Own fabric quality systems targeting high A-grade yield on sensitive synthetic surfaces.

Ensure fabrics meet physical and chemical testing requirements for global customers.

Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste of high-cost synthetic yarns.
People & Technical Leadership

Lead, train, and develop local production teams with a strong shop-floor presence.

Build technical capability in synthetic yarn handling and machine discipline.

Collaborate with R&D on new fabric developments, including recycled polyester and bio-based nylon.
Critical Requirements

Degree in Textile Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

Extensive weaving experience on polyester/nylon filament fabrics.

Proven hands-on expertise with air-jet and water-jet looms (e.g. Toyota, Tsudakoma).

Strong understanding of synthetic yarn properties (denier, lustre, tenacity).

Practical knowledge of sizing chemicals for PET and nylon.

Experience managing humidity and temperature control in synthetic weaving environments.
- Strong English communication skills; able to translate technical requirements into clear instructions.
