The Menswear Merchandise Director will lead market trend analysis, seasonal product planning, line architecture, pricing, launch cadence, and go-to-market alignment. You will translate consumer insights and fashion direction into commercially successful product assortments across the whole year.
You will also partner closely with Design and Buying to ensure all products reflect brand DNA, meet quality expectations, and land in stores on time and within margin targets.

Key Responsibilities
Market Trend Research & Seasonal Planning

Analyse fashion weeks, social platforms, competitor movements, and consumer trends

Join design inspiration trips and define seasonal themes, colours, and fabric direction.

Lead analysis of seasonal performance, price segmentation, and SKU strategy

Propose collaboration capsules and brand-elevating collections
Annual Product-Line Planning

Build full-year product architecture, SKU depth, price ladders, and category ratios.

Finalise PO types and allocation across product lines
Cross-Functional Planning

Align with Finance, Inventory, Buying, Retail, Marketing, and E-commerce

Guide the Inventory team in translating trends into actionable planning
Design & Development Facilitation

Support designers and buyers on material choices, fit, fabric, and development

Lead sample reviews and product approvals
Go-to-Market & Merchandising Review

Organise seasonal reviews with Retail, E-comm, VMD, and Marketing

Present GTM strategy; gather buying feedback; support order finalisation
Sales & Inventory Management

Monitor sell-through weekly, track margins, and drive reorders

Lead clearance and slow-mover strategies
-
Deliver deep seasonal analysis for continuous improvement
Brand & Marketing Collaboration

Integrate merchandising concepts into campaigns, lookbooks, and digital content
Qualifications & Experience

10+ years’ experience in Design, Buying, or Merchandising (menswear preferred)
-
Proven leadership capability in managing multi-functional teams
-
Bachelor’s degree in Textiles/Fashion or a strong industry track record

Strong analytical ability and commercial mindset
-
Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Strong fashion sense with the ability to translate trends into product

Good English skills; Mandarin helpful
